John Gray´s Place

The sophisticated, yet welcoming bistro, designed by John Gray, is hidden at the end of a charming red brick cobbled pedestrian street, Calle Corazon, right off Playa del Carmen’s famous Fifth Avenue. The restaurant’s exterior features wood paneling and dark navy blue awnings over a series a wood-paned windows; industrial, rusted aluminum siding covers the second story; large picture windows offer a glimpse into the busy kitchen… all offer a sense of intrigue and encourage the curious passerby to stop in and discover the rich interior design and even more tempting cuisine.

Diners get swept away to a quaint bistro by dining amidst Thomas Edison replica light blubs free hanging from the ceiling and mirrors throughout the restaurant allow diners not to miss the beautiful surroundings. The long, inviting bar – across from the glass enclosed wine room – is perfect for leisurely enjoying one of the several hand-selected Mexican vintages that are great for drinks or as a complement to any meal. Guests may also opt to wind down a perfect evening at The Den at John Gray’s Place, a quaint bar that shares the restaurant’s courtyard, and offers a variety of wines by the glass, signature drinks and appetizers.
