Zamas is located on the beach in a beautifull inlet 5 kilometers south tulum ruins. Zamas is a small, beach front resort on the Mexican Caribbean. Our bungalows are architecturally designed to reflect traditional Maya style, built with thatch roofs, hard woods, stucco and tile. They are comfortably furnished and feature private porches with hammocks. Our restaurant, !Que Fresco!, has Mexican, Mayan, Fresh seafood and smoky salsas and wood fired pizza.
The 15 thatch roof bungalows of ZAMAS are done in rustic chic arquitecture.
Influenced by the native Mayan construction and laced with traditional Mexican design, the bungalows sport splashes of vivid broken tiles, of color coated stucco and expanses of Mexican paver floors.
While the bungalows interiors shine with color and texture, the exteriors are camouflaged to compliment the natural surroundings. The traditional Mayan thatch roofs serve as the intersection of exterior and interior. In their woven complexity, the thatch roofs blend with the color of sand and sea on the outside while in the interiors the thatch peaks to high points leaving the rooms airy and expansive.
